By joining the American Subcontractors Association of West Michigan, you
also become a member of the national organization. You will receive the
broad benefits of belonging to the national organization, as well
the benefits of belonging to the West Michigan Chapter, which is focused
on your particular issues and needs. Membership is limited to
construction subcontractors, suppliers and professional service firms.
The 2008-09 membership program is now in place. In
addition to traditional memberships, we have formalized and added the
sponsorship category. Sponsorships may fit the marketing needs of some
companies better, or can be in addition to the membership. Feel free to
contact me or any member of the Board of Directors if you have any
questions.
We encourage you to be part of this organization of
subcontractors, service providers, and suppliers that has already grown
and firmly established itself after just a year and a half. We will be
glad to have you as a member of ASAWM, and we’re sure that you will gain
significant value and benefit from your membership.
In addition to addressing your needs in areas
identified through the recent member needs survey such as “new
customers” and Retainage, we feel very good about the programs,
networking opportunities and discussions that take place at our monthly
meetings. Member feedback tells us that The Weekly Update email is
proving to be very valuable. The special programs on ConsensusDOCS and
BIM provided significant value. You will soon hear about a fun and
family event for later this summer. We will continue to increase our
involvement in Lansing and Washington. The information and
representation from the national organization, along with the webinars
and teleconferences available are additional benefits of membership.
Your support and participation will allow us to
serve your needs, and represent subcontracting as a vital, essential,
and valuable part of the construction industry. We are sure that the
benefits and value you receive from your membership will continue to be
much greater than the cost.
Please look at both the membership and sponsorship
options to determine which program, or combination, will best fit your
needs.
